MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The UAH men's and women's track & field kicked off the 2024 outdoor campaign this Friday and Saturday at the Montevallo Falcon Classic.

Men's Notables
-The Chargers had the top two finishers in the 1500-meter race, led by
Nathan Knox in first at 3:52.61 and
Conner Patterson in second at 3:56.14.
-
Wilson McClain notched an NCAA provisional time in 110-meter hurdles with a second-place clocking of 14.26.
Wes Egalite also performed well with a third-place finish at 14.70.
-Nate Shingleton garnered first overall in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:52.24.
-UAH's 4x400 meters relay team of
Tommy Rodriguez, Dominic Zana, Ben Dale and
Dantavious Thomas placed first overall at a time of 3:20.83.

Noah Lawler won the long jump competition at 7.14 meters.
-The Chargers had two second-place finishers in field competition, including
Thomas Vaughn in the pole vault at 4.73 meters and
Malik Turner in the high jump at 1.90 meters.

Women's Notables

Jordyn Dortch turned in an NCAA provisional and first place time in the 200-meter dash with a clocking of 24.21.

Emily McMurry placed second in the 1500-meter race with a time of 4:45.54.

Ivy Teachey led the Chargers in 100-meter hurdles in second place at a time of 14.71.
-
Anndrea Chester won the 400-meter hurdles competition with a time of 1:07.69.
-UAH's 4x100 meters relay team of
Krystalynn Oatman,
Zakiria Holifield,
Chandler Robinson and
Jordyn Dortch recorded an NCAA provisional performance with a second-place time of 46.47.
-The Chargers 4x400 meters relay team of Dortch, Robinson,
Keziah Mickler and
Aniya Johnson were first overall with a 3:58.40 clocking.

Jadlyn Debardlabon garnered first in the long jump at 5.51 meters as well as the triple jump at 10.77 meters.
-UAH had a pair of third-place finishers in throwing events, including
TaNiyah Thomas in the discus at 41.14 meters and
Hannah Gant in the hammer throw at 45.44 meters.
