NASHVILLE | The UAH baseball team dropped a midweek matchup against Trevecca Nazarene 13-9 on Wednesday evening on the road. The Chargers are now 12-8 on the year while the Trojans improved to 7-6.
The Blue & White had seven players record hits in the game, but were unable to keep pace with the Trojans who compiled 13 runs on 15 hits. The Chargers had just one extra-base hit in the game.
At the plate,
Ian Reagan,
Austin Reed, and
JC Wilburn each contributed two hits while
Merik Carter led the team in RBI as he drove in two Charger runs. Reagan contributed the lone extra-base hit of the game for UAH, an RBI double in the fourth inning.
Logan Mooney got the start on the mound for UAH and pitched 2.2 innings with three strikeouts. Six Chargers saw relief pitching outings on the day, with
Connor Edwards,
Trey Wright, and Aubrey Cleghorn each recording scoreless outings.
The Chargers are back in action this weekend as they face off with Delta State at Charger Park beginning with a doubleheader at noon on Saturday.
