BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | For the 11
th time overall, The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team is headed to the championship game of the GSC tournament after defeating No. 2 seeded Lee, 115-109 after five overtime periods in what was the longest game in GSC men's basketball tournament history. UAH moves to 21-9 while Lee slips to 21-8.
UAH will take on top-seeded West Georgia at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Pete Hanna Center on the campus of Samford University.

Tommy Murr scored a season-high 31 points on 8-for-19 shooting from the field and made an impressive 11-for-12 free throws in the semifinal victory. Murr currently holds the best free-throw percentage in all of division II with a 93.1 percent mark on the season. Murr also contributed a team-best seven assists and four steals.
Luke Burnett scored 26 points in the win while
Jack Kostel and
Daniel Saylor rounded out the double figures scorers for UAH with 17 points each. Saylor recorded a double-double as he snatched a team-high 13 boards.
UAH shot 45.0 percent from the field (36-80), while holding Lee to 40.4 percent (40-99) on field goals. The Chargers also held the advantage over the Flames in defensive rebounds (37-33), bench points (32-19), and points off turnovers (20-13).
To go along with setting the record for the longest game in GSC tournament history, the 224 combined points scored on the night are the most in tournament history while UAH tied the tournament record for points by a single team in a game (115).
