BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference unveiled its 2024 GSC Preseason Coaches Poll on Wednesday, and UAH was voted second in the league's prognostications.

The Chargers generated three first-place votes in the tally and 92 points, which was closely behind reigning GSC champion Lee with eight first-place nods and 98 points.

Mississippi College (83 points), Christian Brothers (64 points), West Florida (62 points) and Auburn Montgomery (61 points) rounded out the top six.

UAH finished second overall as a team at the 2023 GSC Championships – held in Huntsville – as the squad was led by individual champion and eventual All-American
Sam Wilhelm in the race.

The Chargers also returns All-GSC performers
Nate Pohlsander,
Nathan Knox and
Noah George in addition to Wilhelm.

UAH's 2024 season commences on Friday, Sept. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Montevallo Falcon Twilight Classic in Montevallo, Alabama.
