TAMPA, Fla. | The UAH women's soccer team was edged out by a final score of 1-0 as they traveled to the Sunshine State to take on No. 11 Tampa on Wednesday evening. UAH moves to 1-2-0, while UT improves to 3-0-0.

The Chargers defense remained strong, holding the Spartans scoreless for nearly 90-minutes. The game's lone goal came in the 90
th minute off the foot of UT's Tali O'Leary.

Carmen Endicott and
Jayla Gillespie spearheaded the Charger offense, picking up the four shots on goal for UAH. Endicott totaled three in the 49
th, 59
th, and 81
st minutes. Gillespie slid a shot in the bottom center of the goal in the 67
th minute, which was saved by the Spartans goalkeeper.Â
Olivia Marlow and
Emily Labus stayed in the contest for the fill 90-minutes, as the UAH defense withstood five corner kick opportunities by UT.

CeCe Szopa picked up two more saves against UT, while only allowing one goal through 90 minutes of play.Â
The Chargers will be back in action on Friday, as they head to take on Saint Leo at 6 p.m.
