ST. LEO, Fla. | The UAH women's soccer team wrapped up its road swing this week with a 1-0 loss at Saint Leo on Friday night in nonconference action. UAH slides to 1-3-0, while SLU rises to 1-1-1.

After 37 minutes of scoreless play, Saint Leo took the first lead with a goal by Ella Owen in the 38th minute as both teams would play out the contest to a 1-0 victory for the hosts.

Sophomore
CeCe Szopa was stellar in goal for the Chargers, posting a season-high seven saves in the setback. Overall this week, Szopa allowed only two goals with nine saves across 180 minutes as UAH's goalkeeper.

The Chargers defense, along with Szopa, managed a total of seven corner kick opportunities as defenders
Emily Labus and
Campbell Tarentino also played the full 90 minutes of the matchup.

Carmen Endicott accounted for two of the Chargers three shots on goal to lead the offense.

The Chargers return home next Friday for the start of Gulf South Conference play for the 2024 campaign with a visit from the newest member of the league in Trevecca Nazarene. Kick-off set for 5 p.m. next Friday against the Trojans.
