Women's Soccer Makes 2024 GSC Home Debut on Friday

HUNTSVILLE | The UAH women's soccer team opens up Gulf South Conference play on Friday evening as they will host Trevecca Nazarene at 5 p.m. at Charger Park. The weekend also marks Alumni Weekend at UAH.

Admission to all regular season home games at Charger Park is free again this season, courtesy of Alabama Credit Union.

UAH returns to the pitch after going 0-2 last week, falling 1-0 to No. 10 Tampa and dropping a match 1-0 to Saint Leo. The Chargers enter GSC play at 1-3-0 overall.

The Blue & White rank second in the GSC in save percentage through four matches with an .857 save percentage with 18 saves from keeper CeCe Szopa. Their 0.75 goals against average is good for third in the conference ranks.

Sabrina Da Silva and Jayla Gillespie have a goal apiece for UAH this season and lead the Chargers in points. 

TNU visits Charger Park with a 1-2-0 record overall, with their most recent result being a 1-0 loss at home against Carson-Newman. 

The Trojans two goals this season came in a 2-0 victory over Young Harris to start the season, with Jordan Hellman and Allie Windom notching a goal each. 

Following Friday's match, the Chargers will travel to Cleveland, Tenn. on Sunday to take on Lee.
