HUNTSVILLE | The UAH women's soccer team will host a Gulf South Conference opponent on Saturday evening as they welcome Montevallo (4-1-1, 3-0 GSC) to Charger Park for a 7 pm kickoff.

UAH is 2-3-1 overall and 1-0-1 in GSC play and returns to the pitch after earning four points last weekend with a 1-0 victory over Trevecca Nazarene and a 1-1 draw at Lee.

Admission to all regular season events at Charger Park is free again this season, courtesy of Alabama Credit Union.

Michella Tortelli earned GSC Freshman of the Week for her performance on the pitch last week after she netted one goal and two shots on goal, while Sabrina Da Silva had a game-winning goal against TNU. 

The Chargers have allowed the second fewest goals in the GSC this season, with a 0.67 goals against average and the fifth highest save total in the conference from CeCe Szopa at 26. 

The Blue & White have not surrendered more than one goal in their last 13 matches dating back to October of 2023. 

Montevallo visits Charger Park atop the GSC standings having won their last three matches in conference play behind 10 combined goals. The Falcons are led offensively by top goal-scorer Isabel Dillehay who has four goals on the season with a .889 shot on goal percentage. 

Emily Hounsell has started all six matches as the net minder for UM and has posted 13 saves.

Following Saturday's match, the Chargers will have a weekend road trip next week to take on a pair of GSC opponents at Valdosta State and Auburn Montgomery.
