Women's Basketball Falls at No. 13 Union on Thursday

JACKSON, Tenn. | The UAH women's basketball team dropped Thursday's night's Gulf South Conference matchup at No. 13 Union by a final score of 66-62. UAH slides to 10-3 (5-2 GSC), while UU improves to 11-2 (6-0 GSC).
 
Senior Alexis Woods led the Chargers offense at Union on Thursday with a team-high 15 points, as she went 7-for-11 across 20 minutes on the floor. She also contributed well defensively with two blocks and two steals.
 
UAH featured three players with nine points on the night, including Mia Hollingsworth, Bella White and Lili Wilken. White nearly achieved a double-double, recording a team-high 12 rebounds.
 
White and Wilken additionally tied with Woods for a team-high two steals in the contest, with Wilken also ranking second on the team with seven rebounds against the Bulldogs.
 
UAH shot 39.7 percent (23-58) from the field against nationally-ranked Union, while holding the edge over the Bulldogs in rebounds (34-30) and points in the paint (26-18).
 
The Chargers look ahead to rounding out the GSC road swing at Christian Brothers on Saturday at 1 p.m.
