Women's Basketball Tops Christian Brothers Saturday on the Road

MEMPHIS, Tenn. | The UAH women's basketball team ended its road trip with a 66-58 victory at Christian Brothers on Saturday afternoon in Gulf South Conference action. UAH improves to 11-3 (6-2 GSC), while CBU slides to 0-13 (0-7 GSC).
 
Junior Lili Wilken guided the UAH offense with a team-high 16 points across 40 minutes on the floor. She additionally posted four rebounds and four assists in the victory.
 
The Chargers featured three more players with 10 points or more against the Buccaneers, as Bellah Machen (11 points), Alexis Woods (11 points) and Haley Nichols (10 points).
 
Machen also finished with a roster-leading 10 rebounds for her first double-double of the season, with the junior shooting 4-for-6 from the field and 3-for-4 on three-pointers as well.
 
Millie Brown, Bella White and Nichols each posted seven rebounds to tie for second on the roster. White additionally tied with Mia Hollingsworth for the team lead in assists with five apiece.
 
The Blue & White shot well from beyond the arc overall at 34.8 percent, with three players sinking two or more three-pointers in the win.
 
UAH also held the edge over CBU in rebounds (44-32), second chance points (10-3) and fast break points (11-4).
 
The Chargers return home to Spragins Hall for two more GSC games next week with visits from Montevallo on Thursday evening and Auburn Montgomery on Saturday afternoon.
