MEMPHIS, Tenn. | The No. 6 UAH men's basketball team won its 13th consecutive game with an 89-72 victory on the road at Christian Brothers on Saturday in Gulf South Conference action. UAH improves to 13-1 (8-0 GSC), while CBU slides to 6-7 (2-5 GSC).

UAH's 13 consecutive wins are the most by the program since the 2011-12 campaign, when the Chargers strung together 20 consecutive victories.

Blake Campbell led the Chargers offense on Saturday with 20 points while also posting six assists and a team-high three steals. Campbell went 10-for-14 from the field in the win across a roster-leading 32 minutes on the floor.

Matt Thurman scored a career-high 19 points to rank second on the UAH roster on Saturday, as he went 7-for-11 from the field and 5-for-8 on three-pointers.

A total of five Chargers reached double-digit points in the win, with
Tommy Murr (15 points),
Daniel Saylor (13 points) and
Luke Burnett (12 points) joining Campbell and Thurman. Murr also posted a team-high seven assists, while Saylor nearly achieved a double-double with a roster-best nine rebounds.

UAH shot 53.8 percent (35-65) from the field for the contest and 34.5 percent (10-29) on three-pointers, while limiting CBU to 48.5 percent (32-66) shooting from the floor. The Chargers also held the edge over the Bucs in points off turnovers (10-6), second chance points (11-6) and bench points (26-15).

The Chargers look ahead to two GSC home games next week at Spragins Hall with visits from Montevallo on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. followed by Auburn Montgomery on Saturday at 4 p.m.
