JACKSON, Tenn. | The UAH women's soccer team fell 1-0 on the road Friday evening against Union. With the result, the Chargers move to 5-3-2 overall and 3-2-1 in Gulf South Conference play, while Union improves to 3-2-3 overall and 2-2-1 in the GSC.
After a scoreless first half, Union broke the deadlock as Paige Blackburn found the back of the net in the 84th minute to give the Bulldogs the lone goal of the game.
UAH produced 17 total shots, with four on target. Sabrina Da Silva led the attack with two shots on goal, while Carley White and Adriana Rojas each added one. Goalkeeper CeCe Szopa had a strong performance in net, collecting nine saves of the ten shots on target from Union.
The Chargers take another road trip to Memphis, Tenn. for a conference matchup against the Christian Brothers Lady Buccaneers on October 12 at 1 p.m.
