HUNTSVILLE | The UAH volleyball team hosted Gulf South Conference opponent Union on Saturday afternoon and swept the Bulldogs 3-0 (25-15 | 26-24 | 25-19) for their third consecutive home sweep. Senior
Caroline Moyer reached the 1,000 career kills mark during the victory.
The Chargers improved to 14-4 (6-3 GSC) with the victory, while Union dropped to 2-13 (0-8 GSC).
Offensively, the Chargers had three players in double-digit kills as Moyer led the way with 13, while
Zoe Smith added 12 and
Carlee Lowry tallied 10.
Anna Clare Hutto had 22 assists to lead the Blue & White in the category, while
Cooper Garrett contributed 16 assists.
Sydney Durban had 12 digs, while Lowry added 12 of her own.
Mary Grace Bundrant totaled two block assists and a solo block to lead UAH in the block category.
Next up for the Chargers is Auburn Montgomery next Friday at 6 p.m. in SportsMED Arena in Spragins Hall.
