HUNTSVILLE | The UAH volleyball team took Auburn Montgomery in Gulf South Conference action on Friday night at SportsMED Arena in Spragins Hall and took their fifth consecutive win and sweep with a 3-0 (25-16 | 25-10 | 25-16) final score.
The Chargers improved to 15-4 (7-3 GSC) with the victory, while the Warhawks dropped to 2-16 (1-9 GSC).Â
Offensively,
Zoe Smith led the squad with 12 kills on a .304 hitting percentage, while
Carlee Lowry joined her in double digit kills with 10 and a .348 attack percentage.
Cooper Garrett led the team in assists with 19 for the match along with three kills to the winning effort.Â
On the defensive side,
Sydney Durban recorded 20 digs to highlight the Charger defense, while
Alex McGeehan totaled four block assists to lead the block category for UAH.
Next up for the Chargers is a Tuesday home match against Montevallo at 6 p.m. at SportsMED Arena in Spragins Hall.
