HUNTSVILE, Ala. | The UAH women's soccer team fell 1-0 in a Gulf South Conference matchup to Mississippi College on Friday evening at Charger Park. With the result, the Chargers move to 6-4-2 overall and 4-3-1 in GSC play, while the Choctaws improve to 4-5-3 (3-2-2 GSC).
The lone goal of the night came in the 66th minute, when Gracie Davis found the back of the net for Mississippi College.
Despite the loss, UAH showed a competitive effort on both sides of the field. Evelina Gustafsson led the Chargers attack with three shots, two of which were on goal. Goalkeeper CeCe Szopa completed nine saves on the night.
The Chargers will look to bounce back at home against Delta State at home at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19.
