HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's and women's cross country teams will compete in the Gulf South Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Shelby Farms in Memphis, Tenn. The women's 6k race will start at 8 a.m. central, followed by the men's 8k at 8:45 a.m.

The Charger men enter the weekend as the No. 28 team nationally and second-ranked team in the South Region and are led by
Ahmed Ibrahim who has won the individual title in his last two outings for UAH.
Conner Patterson posted a personal-best at the UAH Chargers XC Invitational his last time out and placed 18th in the home event.
For the UAH women,
Tamsyn Gibbs has led the way in two of their last three events, including a personal-best time in the 6k at the UAH Chargers XC Invitational with a 22:05.9.
Catherine Truemper also notched a personal-best at the home event with a 22:21.0.
Following the GSC Championships, the Chargers look ahead to the NCAA South Region Championships in Lakeland, Fla. on November 8.
