HUNTSVILLE | The No. 8 UAH men's basketball team won their fourth straight game on Tuesday afternoon in SportsMED Arena in Spragins Hall against Point 117-64. The win also marked the fourth straight game in which the Chargers posted over 100 points, as the Blue & White lead the Gulf South Conference in points per game and are the only team in the league averaging over 100 points per game.
The Chargers are now 4-1 on the year, while the game marked an exhibition game for the Skyhawks.Â
UAH scorched Point in the first half as they went 15-for-19 from three point range for a 78.9 percent mark as they led 65-30 at the halfway point. The Chargers shot 63.8 percent from the field in the game and held the Skyhawks to 37.3 percent shooting.Â
Thomas Allard led the way for the Chargers in scoring with 20 points and went 6-of-9 from three point range, along with seven rebounds and seven assists in just 17 minutes of play.
Rayven Turner added 18 points with a 7-for-8 performance from the field and seven rebounds.Â
Overall, 14 different UAH players scored in the game, with eight of them notching at least one made three. The Chargers knocked down 22 total threes in the game.Â
Jordan Mabe added three steals and a block to lead the UAH defense.Â
Next up for the Chargers is a road trip to take on Spring Hill on Saturday in Mobile, Alabama, at 2:30 p.m.
