PENSACOLA, Fla. – The UAH women's basketball team opened Gulf South Conference play in impressive fashion Thursday night, earning a 70–53 road victory over West Florida to secure its first league win of the season.
The Chargers were powered by a dominant performance from Lili Wilken, who delivered a 30-point, 13-rebound double-double while adding a block and a steal. Wilken controlled the game on both ends and notched her second 30-point outing of the season.
UAH's bench provided a major spark, contributing 29 points in the win. Mia Hollingsworth led the reserves with 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting, while Bella White added eight points to help the Chargers maintain momentum throughout the night.
The victory moves UAH to 5–3 overall and 1–0 in GSC play.
Up next, the Chargers continue their road swing with a trip to Valdosta State on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT. UAH will return home on Wednesday, Dec. 11, to host Trevecca Nazarene at 5:30 p.m. inside SportsMED Arena at Spragins Hall.
