BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | UAH guard Lili Wilken has been named the Gulf South Conference Player of the Week for the fourth time in her career, the league announced Tuesday. The honor comes after a dominant two-game road stretch in which Wilken powered the Chargers to victories over West Florida and Valdosta State.
The win at Valdosta State was particularly historic, marking the first time in program history that UAH has defeated the Blazers three straight times.
Wilken was exceptional throughout the week, totaling 54 points, 20 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block across the two victories.
Against West Florida, she delivered a 30-point, 13-rebound double-double, adding 3 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal to guide UAH to a 70–53 conference-opening win.
She followed that performance with 24 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals in UAH's 72–67 win at Valdosta State on Saturday.
Wilken's standout week helped lift UAH to 6–3 overall and 2–0 in the Gulf South Conference, while extending the team's winning streak to five straight games.
The Chargers return home on Thursday, Dec. 11, to host Trevecca at 5:30 p.m., before welcoming Lee to SportsMED Arena on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m.
