Baseball Splits Saturday Doubleheader at Flagler

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. | The UAH baseball team split a Saturday doubleheader on the road against Flagler, as they won the first game 8-7 and dropped the second game 15-5. 

The Chargers are now 1-2 to start the year, while the Saints are off to a 2-1 start to the 2025 campaign.

UAH will host their first home game of the season in a midweek tilt against Faulkner on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Charger Park.

G1: UAH 8, Flagler 7

In game one, UAH was able to draw five hit-by-pitches and totaled nine hits in an 8-7 win. 

Ramie Harrison led the Charger offense, knocking two doubles and driving in one run along with scoring once. 

Sean Lapinskes and Ian Reagan each contributed a pair of hits, with Lapinskes driving in two runs and Reagan notching one RBI.

On the mound, Will Tarpley went six innings and gave up five hits and three earned runs. He struck out three Saints batters in his outing. Cory Hagood was able to secure the win as the senior pitched two innings with a pair of strikeouts and surrendered zero hits or earned runs.

G2: Flagler 15, UAH 5 

UAH dropped game two of the day despite holding a 4-3 lead after the top of the sixth inning. The Charger offense had six different players notch hits while they also drew six walks. 

Will Noles, Jackson Lindsey, and Brock Butler each went 1-for-3 with a RBI and a walk. Noles and Harrison each had doubles in the game for the only extra-base hits on the Charger side. 

Colin Patterson got the start for the Blue & White and went five innings as he gave up three earned runs and six hits. Payton Lemons, Hunter MacLeod, and Aubry Cleghorn each made relief appearances where they did not surrender any earned runs.
