Jordyn Dortch represented the UAH women's track & field team as the Gulf South Conference Track Athlete of the Week this week and is the second UAH women's track & field athlete to garner the award.
Dortch tallied a personal best and a D-II Provisional Mark in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.52 seconds at the UAB Vulcan Invite. The time ranks No. 18 in D-II and No. 1 in the GSC. The sophomore from Birmingham, Alabama, additionally posted a Provisional Mark in a second-place finish in the 200 meter dash with a 24.42 time, good for the No. 22 spot nationally in D-II.
At the UAB Green and Gold Invite, Dortch also ran a 57.10 in the 400 meters for a personal best and the second-best time in the GSC.
The Chargers are continuing to gear up for the Gulf South Conference Championship on February 20 and February 21 in Birmingham, Alabama.
