Women's Basketball Wins Road Matchup at Auburn Montgomery Thursday

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The UAH women's basketball team cruised past Auburn Montgomery with a 73-53 road win on Thursday evening in Gulf South Conference play. UAH improves to 21-5 (15-4 GSC), while AUM slides to 11-13 (9-10 GSC).
 
The Chargers 21 overall wins this season moves the squad into second all-time in UAH women's basketball program history.
 
Lili Wilken headlined a UAH offense that featured four players with 10 points or more on Thursday, as the junior put up a team-high 23 points to go along with five rebounds and six assists. She went 8-for-15 from the field and 2-for-4 on three-pointers across 38 minutes on the floor.
 
Ivey Maddox ranked second offensively for the Chargers with 12 points, followed by Haley Nichols and Alexis Woods with 10 points apiece. Nichols also posted a team-high 10 rebounds for her third double-double of the season.
 
The Chargers shot 45.8 percent (27-59) from the field and a stellar 41.7 percent (10-24) on three-pointers, while holding the edge over the Warhawks in points off turnovers (29-11), second chance points (18-7) and points in the paint (28-22).
 
UAH wraps up the week's action at Montevallo on Saturday at 2 p.m. for the penultimate regular season game for the Blue & White.
