Women's Basketball Caps Off Best Regular Season in Team History with Win at UWA

LIVINGSTON, Ala. | The UAH women's basketball team completed the most successful regular season in program history with a 66-48 victory at West Alabama on Thursday night in Gulf South Conference play. UAH improves to 23-5 (18-4 GSC), while UWA slides to 4-22 (4-18 GSC).
 
The Chargers broke the program record for GSC wins this season and home victories, while tying the team record for overall wins in a season with the 23rd on Thursday night.
 
UAH – the sixth-ranked team in the South Region – looks ahead to hosting a first-round matchup of the 2025 Truist GSC Women's Basketball Championships next Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Spragins Hall. Tickets will go on sale to the public for Tuesday's game tomorrow at 5 p.m. through HomeTown Ticketing.
 
The Chargers first round opponent will be decided on the final day of the regular season on Saturday.
 
Lili Wilken guided the Blue & White to their 23rd victory of the year with a team-high 23 points and 10 rebounds for third double-double of the season and first in GSC play. Wilken also added three assists and three steals, while going 10-for-16 on field goals.
 
Wilken was joined in double-figures by Bella White with 11 points, while Haley Nichols added 10 points. White also had seven rebounds and three assists, with Nichols pulling down eight rebounds and dishing out a roster-best four assists.
 
UAH shot 50.9 percent (28-55) from the field and 44.4 percent (4-9) on three-pointers, while limiting UWA to 40.5 percent (17-42) on field goals. The Chargers additionally held the edge over the Tigers in rebounds (35-23), points off turnovers (19-15), second chance points (15-4) and points in the paint (36-18).
