HUNTSVILLE | The second-seeded UAH women's basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the 2025 Truist Gulf South Conference Women's Basketball Championships with a 76-57 victory over seventh-seeded Auburn Montgomery in the quarterfinal matchup at Spragins Hall on Tuesday night. UAH improves to 24-5, while AUM slides to 12-16.

The Chargers look ahead to taking on third-seeded Lee on Saturday at 2:15 p.m. at the Pete Hanna Center on the campus of Samford University for a GSC tournament semifinal matchup. This is the first time UAH has reached the GSC tournament semifinals since 2020.

Senior
Alexis Woods guided the Chargers in the victory with a stellar 19-point, 16-rebound performance for her second double-double of the season. She went 9-for-13 from the field while notching her season-high point total.

Lili Wilken – the GSC Player of the Year – tied for the team lead in scoring with 19 points as well, with the junior going 8-of-15 from the field to go along with five rebounds, one block and one steal.

Ivey Maddox added 10 points in the victory to give the Chargers four players with double-digit points.

Overall, UAH shot 45.3 percent (29-64) from the field and 40.0 percent (8-20) on three-pointers, while limiting AUM to 32.8 percent (20-61) on field goals. The Chargers also held the edge over the Warhawks in rebounds (51-32), second chance points (20-14), and points in the paint (34-26).
