Men's Basketball Wins 22nd Straight in Road Victory at MC

CLINTON, Miss. | The No. 4 UAH men's basketball team won its program-record 22nd consecutive game with an 81-63 victory on the road at Mississippi College on Saturday in Gulf South Conference action. UAH improves to 22-1 (17-0 GSC), while MC slides to 7-18 (3-14 GSC).
 
The Chargers amassed a 17-point lead by halftime, as UAH cruised to the 81-63 victory at Mississippi College guided by 59.3 percent shooting from the floor for the contest.
 
Luke Burnett paced the Chargers offense in Saturday's win with a team-high 23 points, as the senior went 9-for-12 from the field and 4-of-7 on three-pointers over a team-high 31 minutes on the floor.
 
Tommy Murr rated second on the Chargers with 20 points and six rebounds, with the senior going 7-for-9 on field goals and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line.
 
Daniel Saylor vaulted into third in program history for career blocks with 135 in his collegiate career, after posting a game-high four blocks against the Choctaws. He also pulled down a team-high seven rebounds in the win.
 
The Chargers shot 59.3 percent (32-54) from the field and 50.0 percent (7-14) on three-pointers, while holding the edge over the Choctaws in rebounding (35-26), points off turnovers (15-10) and points in the paint (48-32).
 
UAH looks ahead to its final home games of the 2024-25 regular season next week with matchups at Spragins Hall slated against Christian Brothers on Thursday and Union on Saturday.
