YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The UAH baseball fell in a midweek road contest 7-2 against No. 12 Young Harris on Tuesday evening at Zell B. Miller Field on the campus of Young Harris.
The Chargers dropped to 19-23 on the year, while the Mountain Lions improved to 31-12 for the season.
UAH took the first lead of the game in the second inning with a
Ramie Harrison RBI to go up 1-0. In the fourth, the Chargers extended the lead to 2-0 on a RBI single from
JC Wilburn. The Mountain Lions would go on to score seven unanswered runs over the course of the final five innings.
Wilburn was the only Charger batter to record multiple hits in the game, but
Jackson Lindsey,
Will Noles,
Sean Lapinskes, and
Brock Butler each notched singles for the evening.
On the mound, eight different UAH pitchers made appearances with
Colin Patterson,
Hunter MacLeod,
Payton Lemons,
Logan Mooney, and
Cole Loftis each pitching at least one inning. Loftis struck out three to lead the Chargers in the category while he surrendered no runs.
UAH is set for a road Gulf South Conference series against Trevecca Nazarene beginning on Friday at 1 p.m. in Nashville.
