Box Score OXFORD, Ala. | The fourth-seeded UAH softball team fell on day two of the 2025 Gulf South Conference Softball Championships by a score of 7-4 to first-seeded and No. 6 ranked Auburn Montgomery on Thursday at Choccolocco Park. UAH slides to 28-21, while AUM improves to 36-10.

The Chargers move on to play at 12:30 p.m. against No. 7 seed Montevallo in an elimination game. The winner of that contest advances to play at 6 p.m. on Friday against No. 2 seed West Florida.

Auburn Montgomery went ahead with two runs in the first inning and never relented its lead on the way to winning 7-4 on Thursday.

UAH recorded eight base hits as a team, led by
Jada Henderson and
Maddie Cartron who both went 2-for-4 on Thursday.

Sadie Thompson drove in a team-high two RBI, and went 1-for-2 against the Warhawks, while
Lawren Hayes plated a roster-leading two runs to go along with one walk.

Katie Bracken started in the circle for UAH, turning in 3.0 innings with seven runs allowed – six earned – and four strikeouts. Her record slips to 13-11 on the season.

Megan Shurtz had a strong outing in relief of Bracken, as she worked the final 4.0 innings with no runs allowed.
