HUNTSVILLE | UAH head softball coach Melanie Carter has announced the hiring of Annie Willis as an Assistant Coach for the upcoming 2025–26 season.
A Huntsville native and former standout pitcher, Willis brings elite playing experience and a deep passion for the game to the Chargers' coaching staff.
Willis began her collegiate career at Troy University (2018–2019) before transferring to Mississippi State University, where she played from 2020 to 2022 where she set the program record for strikeouts in a single game and helped lead the Bulldogs to their first-ever NCAA Super Regional appearance.
She holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from Mississippi State.
Following her collegiate career, Willis was drafted to play professionally in the Women's Professional Fastpitch league and has spent the past three years coaching at the high school level in Huntsville.
