CLINTON, Miss. | The UAH volleyball team took to the road for their Gulf South Conference opening match against Mississippi College and fell to the Choctaws in three sets (21-25, 22-25, 19-25) on Tuesday night.
The Chargers were led offensively by
Zoe Smith who posted 12 kills in the match with a .147 attack percentage.
Mary Grace Bundrant had seven kills for UAH with a .636 attack percentage to lead the Chargers in the category.
Cooper Garrett added 17 assists and three kills in the match as the reigning GSC Freshman of the Week.
Alex McGeehan highlighted the UAH defense with three solo blocks and a block assist.
UAH returns to action when they host their conference home opener on Friday against Lee at 6 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m. matchup with Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday.
