NASHVILLE | The UAH volleyball team took to the road to compete in the Ray Thrasher Classic to kick off their season and faced off with No. 21 Wayne State (Neb.) and Jamestown. The Chargers dropped the first match of the day to WSC 3-0 and followed up with a 3-0 win against Jamestown.
In the first match of the day against WSC, UAH was led by
Caroline Moyer who posted 14 kills on a .345 attack percentage.
Zoe Smith tallied a team-high eight digs in the match with eight kills, good for second in the Charger lineup.Â
In the victory against the Jimmies, Moyer led the way again as she posted 14 more kills with a .481 attack percentage with three digs and a block.
Kayla Ward was second on the squad in kills with eight in the match. Smith totaled 12 digs in the second match of the day while she contributed five kills.
The Chargers are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 6 as they take on Henderson State to wrap up their weekend at the Ray Thrasher Classic in Nashville.
