LIVINGSTON, Ala. | The UAH men's basketball team continued Gulf South Conference play on the road as the Chargers fell to No. 9 West Alabama on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 70–54.
UAH moves to 12-5 overall (7-4 GSC), while the Tigers improved to 16-1 on the season (11-0 GSC).
The contest stayed within reach early, as UAH trailed 36-28 at halftime. West Alabama maintained control in the second half, outscoring the Chargers 34-26 to secure the win.
Quentin Toles led the Chargers offensively with a team-high 14 points, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc. Bryce Mason added nine points off the bench, while Thomas Allard and Jordan Mabe each finished with eight points.
UAH totaled 35 rebounds as a team, with Mason pulling down six and Griffin Cooper adding five. Cooper and Toles each recorded a block, while Mabe led the Chargers with two steals.
Next up for the Chargers is a home weekend, beginning Wednesday, Jan. 22, against Valdosta State at 7:30 p.m., followed by a matchup with West Florida on Friday, Jan. 24, at 4:00 p.m.
