MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The UAH men's basketball team took to the road on Thursday evening to take on Gulf South Conference opponent and in-state foe Montevallo and narrowly fell 71-68 in the final minutes of the contest.
The Chargers drop to 11-4 (6-3 GSC), while Montevallo improved to 10-4 (6-2 GSC).
Montevallo outpaced UAH in the first half with a 33-22 lead after the first 20 minutes of the game. The Falcons went 7-for-17 in the first half from three, while UAH was just 3-of-17.
In the second half, UAH stormed back and outscored Montevallo 46-to-38, but were unable to entirely overcome the gap.
Thomas Allard led the way in scoring for the Chargers with 18 points along with three rebounds and two assists, while
Quentin Toles had 11 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
Matt Thurman went 4-for-6 from the field, including 3-for-5 from behind the arc for 13 points.
