She is joined by Alexa Douthitt (.382), Kylie Ballentine (.382), Jill Cockrell (.375), and Brittany Slaten (.367), giving the lineup a strong mix of power and run production.

In the circle, Megan Shurtz was named Gulf South Conference Pitcher of the Week after recording two shutout wins over the weekend. She pitched complete games in both outings without allowing a walk, posting a 0.00 ERA and holding opponents to a .122 batting average, striking out 15 over 12 innings.

UAH Softball is partnering with the Downtown Rescue Mission during the Sam Baldwin Memorial Invitational to collect donations of new underwear, bras, sports bras, and belts. The invitational also highlights American Heart Month, with teams wearing red ribbons and fans encouraged to wear red to raise awareness for heart health.

Following the conclusion of the Sam Baldwin Memorial Invitational, UAH will begin Gulf South Conference play with a series against Lee University. The Chargers will host the Flames at Les Stuedeman Field, beginning with a single game on Friday, February 20 at 3 p.m.
