HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's basketball team took on Auburn Montgomery in Gulf South Conference action on Thursday evening and defeated the Warhawks 97-71 with a scorching night from behind the arc.
The Chargers improved to 19-7 (14-6 GSC) with the victory, while AUM dropped to 5-20 (3-16 GSC).
The Blue & White finished 20-for-44 from three point land to finish with a 45.5 percent mark, while also shooting 50 percent from the field overall.
Four UAH players finished in double-digits on the scoring end, with
Matt Thurman leading the way with 24 points on 6-of-11 from behind the three point line to go with four steals.
Rayven Turner totaled 15 points along with five boards, while
Thomas Allard had 14 points and
Preston Parker tallied 12 points with five rebounds and four steals.
Griffin Cooper had two blocks in the winning effort as
Jordan Mabe also contributed a block and nine rebounds.
UAH outpaced AUM 32-to-22 in points in the paint and also had a 19-to-7 advantage in second chance points.
