BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced their weekly track & field awards on Wednesday and UAH women's track and field's Hekla Magnusdottir was named the GSC Field Athlete of the Week.

The freshman from Iceland posted a personal best, school record, and NCAA Division II provisional mark in the pentathlon at the Louisville PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational over the weekend with a 3,559 point total in the event. 

The Chargers are back in action on Friday and Saturday, February 6th and 7th at the UAB Indoor Invitational in Birmingham.
