HUNTSVILLE | The UAH softball team is set to host a three-game Gulf South Conference series against Delta State on Friday and Saturday at Les Stuedeman Field at Charger Park. Friday's doubleheader will begin at 1 p.m., while Saturday's game is set for noon.

Admission to all regular season events at Les Stuedeman Field is free this season, courtesy of Alabama Credit Union.
The Chargers enter the series against the Lady Statesmen with a 21-13 (7-8 GSC) record, while DSU enters the series at 11-19 (5-10 GSC).
UAH is led at the plate this season by
Brittany Slaten who is batting .398 and also has 21 stolen bases on the season.
Jill Cockrell has posted a .364 batting average along with 15 stolen bags to aid the Charger offense that ranks fourth in batting average in the GSC.
Megan Shurtz and
Katie Bracken both hold an ERA under 3.00 as Shurts sits at 2.22 and Bracken at 2.86.
Delta State enters the weekend with the fifth-highest batting average in the league and are led by Kyleigh Wheaton who holds a .407 average at the plate. Wheaton has nine home runs on the year which ranks third in the GSC.
Following the weekend series, UAH will face off with Columbus State on April 1 in Birmingham.
