BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The UAH men's and women's track & field teams continued their outdoor season this weekend at the UAB Spring Invitational, highlighted by several standout performances across both track and field events.
Women's Notable Performances

Cooper Garrett broke the school record in the javelin throw with a 46.71m toss that qualified as a NCAA provisional mark.

Amiah Murry also surpassed a school record in the 400 meters with a 54.34 time, good for a provisional mark. She also notched a provisional and broke the school record in the 200m with a 23.67 time.

Aniya Johnson took second in the 400m at 55.25 which was good for a NCAA provisional mark.Â

Anna Katherine Hopkins took third place in the 800m with a time of 2:15.76.

A'cynthia Brown had a toss of 12.94m in the shot put that claimed her second place in the event.Â
Men's Notable Performances

Jaiden Young had a provisional mark in the 400m with a second place finish at 47.44 seconds.Â

Will Griffin took second place in the javelin throw with a provisional mark with a toss of 59.84m.Â

Jordyn Beverly had a first place showing the discus throw at 46.40m.

Malik Turner was a third-place finisher in the high jump as he cleared a height of 2.04m.

Braedon Goode finished in first place with a time of 41.27.
UAH will return to action on April 3rd and 4th as they compete across three different meets in Palo Alto, California, San Francisco, California, and Troy, Alabama.Â
