LIVINGSTON, Ala. | The UAH men's basketball team traveled to Livingston, Alabama, to take on No. 16 and top-seeded West Alabama in the Gulf South Conference semifinal on Thursday evening and fell 80-72 on the road.
The Chargers end their conference tournament run with a 21-9 record overall, while the Tigers advanced to the GSC Championship Final with a 26-4 record.

The Chargers fought their way back to cut the lead to 40-33 at the half and had the Tiger lead cut to just one point at 61-60 with 6:55 remaining in the game. UWA would ultimately pull away and seal an eight point victory.
UAH was led by
Quentin Toles with 16 points and eight assists, while
Matt Thurman (11 points),
Preston Parker (11 points), and
Knute Wood (10 points) joined Toles in double digit scoring.
Bryce Mason had eight boards to lead the Chargers in rebounds.
The Blue & White held an advantage in bench points 26-to-11 along with a narrow lead in fastbreak points 15-to-14.
UAH will await their postseason fate in Sunday's NCAA Division II Selection Show. The Chargers ranked sixth in the South region's most recent poll.
