HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville Department of Athletics welcomes Alexa Douthitt to the Chargers staff as Assistant Director of Compliance and Student-Athlete Development.

Douthitt continues her involvement with UAH Athletics, having been a member of the Chargers softball program from 2022 to 2026. During her time as a student-athlete, she served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), including a term as President, where she worked to represent the student-athlete voice and enhance the overall student-athlete experience.

Prior to joining the department full-time, Douthitt spent two years as an intern within the UAH Athletics Department, gaining valuable experience in athletic administration and student-athlete services.

A native of Madison, Alabama, Douthitt graduated from UAH in 2026 and returned to the athletics department in a full-time role, continuing her commitment to supporting Chargers student-athletes both on and off the field.
