UAH Falls 3-0 To Bowling Green

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The UAH hockey team fell to 0-6 on the season, dropping a 3-0 decision to Bowling Green on Saturday night at Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center. With the win, the visiting Falcons improved to 3-0-1.

The guests scored shorthanded, on the power play and at even-strength in recording their three goals.

Ryan Carpenter scored early, putting BGSU up 1-0 at the 1:47 mark of the first. His shorthanded tally erased any momentum generated for the Blue and White after drawing the early penalty.

Though the Chargers were unable to score on the power play yet again in five opportunities, Camden Wojtala ensured that the Falcons scored on one of their six tries with the man-advantage, putting one past Clarke Saunders at 13:00 of the second to produce a 2-0 advantage.

Saunders faced 29 shots on the night and turned away 26.

Andrew Wallace wrapped up the scoring for Bowling Green at 3:19 of the third to produce the 3-0 final.

The Chargers were outshot 29-21 on the night, including a 9-4 advantage for the visitors in the third period.

UAH will continue to look for its first win of the season next weekend when it hosts Air Force.
