HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Looking to secure a position in the Gulf South Conference tournament, the UAH women's soccer team is set to host in-state rival North Alabama at Charger Field on Friday at noon. The Lady Chargers enter the contest with a 5-7-2 (3-1-1 GSC) record, and the visiting Lions sit at 12-3-0 (4-1 GSC).
UAH – undefeated in its last five – have vaulted into fourth place in the GSC standings and need a win or a tie in its remaining two games to clinch a postseason appearance.

Khadijah Jannah leads the Chargers with eight goals and an assist for 17 points – the fifth-best mark in the GSC. The Atlanta, Ga., native has struck five times in UAH's previous three games to jump to the top of the Blue and White's offensive ledger.

Iris Gunnarsdottir has registered an impressive 78 saves on the season as she chases the school's all-time mark for stops in a season of 100.
The GSC's top offense, North Alabama is scoring an average of three goals a game, paced by Chloe Roberts who has scored 13 times on the year. Alex McLay has received the majority of minutes in goal, posting 32 saves and a 12-3 record.
