By moving to 2-0 in Gulf South Conference play, the Lady Chargers became just the third UAH squad to do so since joining the league in 1993. In addition, the Blue and White moved to 10-2 for just the second time in program history – the 1982-83 squad started 12-2.
Also notching a double-double, her second this season, was junior
Natalie Kelley with 12 points and 15 rebounds. Junior
Bailee Robinson poured in a career-best 21 points, just coming short of a double-double as well with eight rebounds.
In addition, sophomore
Jordan Smith extended her streak of scoring at least 20 points to four games as she added exactly 20 points against the Wolves.

As a team, West Georgia shot 50 percent (27-of-54) from the field but UAH was able to find 23 more opportunities to shoot the ball despite shooting just 35.1 percent (27-of-77). The extra opportunities were due to outrebounding the Wolves, 58-31, which turned into 27 second-chance points for the Lady Chargers compared to West Georgia's three second-chance points.
Up next, UAH takes an early break from conference play, hosting Oakland City on Jan. 9. Tipoff is slated for 1 p.m. CST at Spragins Hall.
