HUNTSVILLE, Ala. –
With the time of tipoff changed from 5 p.m. to 1 p.m. CST, the University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team returns home Monday to face Oakland City at Spragins Hall.

The Lady Chargers (10-2, 1-0 GSC) will be for its fourth victory over Oakland City in the previous five contests against the Lady Oaks. With a win, UAH will be within one victory of matching the best start in program history - the 1982-83 squad started 12-2.

In its last outing, UAH defeated West Georgia on the road by score of 86-72 with the help of a duo posting double-doubles. Sophomore Jasmine Hammon notched her fourth double-double of the year with 25 points and 12 rebounds while junior Natalie Kelley posted her second this season with 12 points and 15 rebounds.

In addition, sophomore Jordan Smith extended her streak of scoring at least 20 points in a game to four consecutive games with exactly 20 points against West Georgia.

Oakland City is 4-9 on the year but has claimed all four victories in its last six contests. The Lady Oaks have just one player averaging double digits in scoring as Whitney Malin is posting 11 points per game.

The all-time series between the schools is a tight one as UAH holds a slim 11-10 advantage over Oakland City. In the most recent meeting on Feb. 19, 2011, the Lady Oaks defeated UAH in overtime, 96-94. The Lady Chargers last defeated Oakland City during the 2011 season as well by a score of 82-76. UAH hasn't lost to Oakland City at home since the 2008-09 season in a triple overtime loss, 89-83.
