Women's Soccer Welcomes Christian Brothers, DSU

LIVE STATS
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. –
The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team returns to the Charger Park pitch after a two-game road trip, hosting Christian Brothers at 1 p.m. on Friday and Delta State on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Lady Chargers enter the contest at 6-8 (2-4 Gulf South Conference).

In helping her team pick up a much-needed 4-1 victory at West Georgia a weekend ago, Khadijah Jannah scored twice to take over the top spot in scoring on the squad. The Atlanta native owns six goals and two assists to total 14 points, just one ahead of Sydnie Fiocca who has six goals and an assist for 13 points.

Cady Reisman has also had a strong campaign, striking four times while collecting three helpers for 11 points, and Emily Hancock leads the team in assists with five – a number that has her tied for fourth in the GSC.

All three of team's leading scorers had a part in a pair of victories over this weekend's opponents earlier this season as Jannah scored in a 2-0 victory at Christian Brothers, while Fiocca and Reisman both tallied in a 3-1 triumph at Delta State.

Christian Brothers visits the Rocket City with a 5-6 (1-4 GSC) record, and Kristen Guidry leads the team with three goals and an assist as she totals seven points. The Lady Statesmen enter the weekend at 2-9-1, winless in their last eight contests. Payten Pearson leads the squad with eight points on the strength of three goals and two assists.
