ST. CLOUD, Minn – UAH fell 4-0 to St. Cloud State Saturday night, dropping its second straight game against the Huskies on the road at the National Hockey Center.
The Chargers (2-3-1) failed to get on the board against St. Cloud State (2-2-0), this coming after scoring three goals the night before. UAH was outscored 12-3 in the two games in Minnesota.
John Griggs was put to the test once again for UAH, this time recording 38 saves in the 42 shots on goal he faced.
All four of the Huskies' goals in the game came when the teams were at even strength. UAH and Griggs shut down St. Cloud State on the five power play opportunities they had.
The Chargers were outshot 42-18, but played strong in the third period only surrendering 11 shots and firing six of their own.
The loss for the Chargers drops their record under the .500 mark, while the St. Cloud victory puts them at an even 2-2 on the season.
UAH stays on the road next weekend when they travel to the Northeast for a pair of games. The Chargers will play Bentley on Friday and American International on Saturday.
