Chargers Travel to Northeast for Pair of Games

AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL: LIVE STATS | LIVE VIDEO
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --
The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team travels to the state of Massachusetts this weekend for a pair of road games. The Chargers will take on Bentley on Friday at 6:05 p.m. CDT and American International at 6 p.m. CDT on Saturday.

UAH will look to bounce back after back-to-back losses to St. Cloud State over the weekend. The Chargers fell 8-3 and 4-0 to the WCHA members and now travel to the Northeast looking to get back on track.

The Bentley Falcons enter the game at 1-1 after opening up their season with a 7-1 victory over Sacred Heart and following that with a 6-3 defeat at the hands of No. 5 Michigan.

The Falcons have been led by Brett Gensler who has recorded a team-high six points so far this season, scoring a couple of goals and adding four assists.

Bentley was picked to finish fourth in the Atlantic Hockey Association and went an even 16-16-8 last season.

On Saturday UAH travels to West Springfield, Massachusetts, to take on the American International Yellow Jackets.

AIC is 1-2 on the season and is coming off back-to-back losses. The Yellow Jackets lost to both Holy Cross and Penn State.

Jon Puskar has powered AIC so far this season, leading the team with four points, including three goals.

The Jackets were picked to finish 11th in Atlantic Hockey, just one spot ahead of last place.

The Chargers will look for multiple players to contribute once again. Jack Prince leads UAH in both points as he owns seven and plus/minus as he currently sits at +9 on the year. The team will also hope that Kyle Lysaght is about to heat up again as scored against St. Cloud State last weekend.

UAH also will aim to limit the power play opportunities for their opponents, in the process helping out senior goaltender John Griggs. Griggs has already recorded 148 saves in just four games played.
