LIVE STATS
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team will close out the regular season on Friday afternoon, hosting Union at Charger Park with kick-off scheduled for 3:30 p.m. The Lady Chargers enter the contest at 8-9 (4-5 Gulf South Conference) while Union sits at 7-7-2 (2-5-2 GSC).
The contest will mark the final one on the home pitch for four seniors:
Summer Carter,
Trisha Ehrhardt,
Emily Hancock and
Cady Reisman.
Carter has played for the Blue and White for two years after transferring from Middle Georgia College, while Hancock started out at Middle Tennessee State and has since put in three years in Huntsville. Both Ehrhardt and Reisman are nearing the end of a four-year tenure in the Rocket City.
Appearing in 35 contests and registering 20 starts, Carter scored her first goal in a UAH uniform earlier this season against Alabama A&M, and Hancock also registered this season her first score with a strike against West Georgia. She has appeared in 38 games while also recording 20 starts.
Doubling her career goal output this season, Ehrhardt scored once in each of her first three seasons before tallying three goals this year including a game-winner, and she owns 47 starts to go along with 66 career appearances.
Reisman – an all-region honoree last year – has started all but one of the 66 games she has played in during her career, and should she start Friday's contest, she will match Susan Bogenschutz for the most starts in program history. She has notched 53 points for her career, scoring 20 times while adding 13 assists.
After Friday's contest, the group will play in their second straight – and third overall for Ehrhardt and Reisman – Gulf South Conference Tournament as the team has locked down the No. 5 seed in the event.
When these two teams met last, UAH won 2-0 in Jackson, Tenn., as
Sydnie Fiocca and Reisman scored.
