HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The UAH women's soccer team is set to host a pair of conference foes this weekend as the team welcomes No. 2 West Florida at 1 p.m. Friday before turning around to play West Alabama at 2 p.m. on Sunday with both games to be played at Charger Park. UAH enters the weekend at 5-4 (1-1 Gulf South Conference).
 
The Lady Chargers will be looking to reverse what has been a curious trend as they have registered a 4-1 mark away from Huntsville while going just 1-3 in the Rocket City. At home the team has scored 1.25 goals per contest, while they average 2.0 per game on the road.
 
Friday's contest against the Argos – a team that UAH has never beaten – will put the hosts up against a team that is allowing less than a goal per contest while scoring over three per contest en route to a record of 8-0 (4-0 GSC).
 
Putting up that type of offensive number may prove difficult for West Florida on Friday as they go up against one of the toughest keepers in the conference in the form of Iris Gunnarsdottir who is second in the league with a .828 save percentage and first in the league 53 saves.
 
On Sunday the Lady Chargers will face second-year program West Alabama who currently owns a 4-3-2 (2-1-1) mark. The Tigers have not ventured away from Livingston often thus far this season, posting a 0-1-1 performance in their only two road games of the year.
 
Nicki Gears paces the squad as she has scored 11 times and added nine assists for a nation-leading 31 points.
 
A season ago, Cady Reisman scored the game-winning goal in double overtime as the Lady Chargers were victorious 2-1 at UWA.
