About the Lady Chargers

TOUGH HOME STRETCH: The Lady Chargers will play their fourth and fifth games of a seven-game homestand this weekend when they welcome West Alabama on Friday and West Florida on Sunday. Their final four opponents at home have a combined record of 26-14-5.
 
FIRST FOR GUNNARSDOTTIR: Out of all the records that senior goalkeeper Iris Gunnarsdottir  has set in her career at UAH, there was one accomplishment in her career that she didn't achieve until Friday at Delta State.  She notched her first career goal in the 74th minute on a free kick.
 
GSC STAT UPDATE: The Lady Chargers currently rank in the top five in shots (74), points (44) and saves (74),  while also ranking second in the conference with an average of 5.69 saves per game.

About the Opponents

ABOUT WEST ALABAMA: The Tigers currently boast an 8-4 record on the season and are presently in fourth place in the GSC with a record of 3-2. Junior Nicki Gears leads the Tigers with 10 goals on the season to go along with four assists. Gears also leads the GSC in goals, game-winners (5) and points with 24. Fellow teammate Katy Morris has a team-high five assists, which is fifth best in the conference.
 
ABOUT WEST FLORIDA: UWF is 7-0-3 on the season with draws coming to  then-No.5 Armstong, No. 21 Valdosta State and Florida Southern. The Argonauts are currently on a season-high four-game winning streak.  UWF is led by a balanced attack as Chelsea Palmer and Sashana Campbell each have four goals, while Shelby Bush is right behind with three goals.

Series History

WEST FLORIDA: The Chargers and Tigers are knotted up at two wins apiece in the series following a 2-0 West Alabama win earlier this season.

WEST FLORIDA: UAH is currently 0-18 in its series against UWF. The Argonauts  came to Charger Park with a No.2-ranking in the nation last season when they defeated the Lady Chargers 4-1. UWF also defeated UAH in the  second round of the conference tournament 4-1.
