About the Lady Chargers
BOUNCING BACK: The Lady Chargers look to get back on track after their recent 4-1 setback at No. 6 North Georgia on Tuesday. In the seventh minute of that game, Nina Jetsu placed a perfect corner kick into the box, as Marie Blunt rocketed it into the back of the net to put UAH on top 1-0, giving Blunt her second score of the season. North Georgia then reeled off four-straight goals to deal the Lady Chargers the road defeat.Â
Â
THE RECORD BOOK: En route to establishing the program-record for saves in a career having now tallied 285, senior Iris Gunnarsdottir also made her 47th career start at goalkeeper. That number sets a new record for starts by a goalkeeper as she surpassed the 46 set by Sarah Sollie from 2002-05. The Reykjavik, Iceland, native also owns the career record for goalkeeper minutes as she has played 4,379 during her UAH career.
TOUGH COMPETITION AHEAD:Â Out of the final eight games of the season, six opponents on the Lady Chargers' schedule own a combined record of 28-17-10. The Blue and White will look to take advantage of playing five of those opponents at Charger Park.
